The Bridge
Answered Needs
We have a client in our program who has dementia and husband has to work. A volunteer to
provide companionship would be very beneficial. The client is very witty and enjoys to have
conversations about various topics. Socialization would be very beneficial as well.
A family of 9 recently lost their housing and have moved into a home that is in need of man repairs. There are several broken windows, some holes in the ceiling, and some electrical needs. As the weather changes, these repairs are necessary to keep the home heated and safe for the 7 children residing there this winter, who range in age from 3- 12.* Please note that any volunteers must go through a policy and procedures training with The Bridge before they can assist.
I have a family facing housing insecurity. There are 2 youth – Girl (12) and Boy (14) who are in need of clothing as they have outgrown their current items. The children need various seasonal clothing – fall and winter to accommodate for current growth. Girl needs – bra (36A) 5/7 Jeans and M TopsBoy Needs – Jeans – 32X30, Lg Shirts w/ straight Leg or Flex Fit.
A family with two teenagers working towards reunification is requesting several sets of twin
sheets. They are asking for two sets for each teen as there is not easy access to a laundromat. They have also requested assistance with school clothing and shoes.
A newly single father of 5 young children is struggling to meet financial ends meet. He is
currently in need of new carseats to be able to safely transport all of his children at once. Needs: (x1) 2-in-1 Booster/Carseat; (x2) Narrow/Slimfit 3-in-1 Carseats; (x1) Infant Carseat & Base. Any contribution, whether monetary or itemized, would be greatly appreciated!
We have a parent working towards reunification. She has visits at home and we have discussed getting an Alexa or somthing similar so that when she and her two year old are having a visit they can play music and dance together or he can ask for songs and they can sing together. This will also be a creative way to distract him from always asking to play with the cell phone : )
